What is Built Green 4-Star certification?

Built Green is the Master Builders Association of King & Snohomish Counties’ green building certification program. A 4-Star rating – second-highest tier – requires third-party verification of energy, water, materials, indoor air, and site design. Exceeds Washington State code by ~15%.

Based on MBA’s 2024 cohort data, Built Green 4-Star units average 22–28% lower utility bills than comparable code-minimum units. Residents report heating + electric bills under $60/month in a 1-bedroom.

Every paint, stain, sealant, and adhesive meets the Green Seal GS-11 standard. Insulation is formaldehyde-free mineral wool. Flooring is third-party tested for VOC emissions (FloorScore).

Stream 403 is two blocks from Capitol Hill Light Rail (6 minutes to downtown, 32 to SeaTac). Dero secure bike storage included. EV-ready parking available at $200/month – every stall has Level 2 capability.
